Volunteer Handbook

• Essential information regarding the mission and history of the Red Cross. This document outlines expectations, policies, and requirements for all volunteers of the Washtenaw-Lenawee Chapter.

Volunteer Opportunities and Chapter Services

• This guide contains all of the information for entering into your ideal opportunity at the Washtenaw-Lenawee Chapter! This guide will cover the multitude of volunteer opportunities offered at the Red Cross.

Parental Consent Form

• This form is required for all volunteers under 18 years of age. Please have your parent or guardian fill in and sign this document and bring it with you to orientation.

Acknowledgement of Receipt of Handbook

• This form is required for recognition that you have received a copy of the Volunteer Handbook.

Business Code of Ethics

• This form is required for acceptance to act within the business code of ethics of the American Red Cross outlined in the document.

Confidentiality Information and Intellectual Property Agreement Form

• Please overview, understand, and acknowledge the terms and conditions on the preceding 3 forms prior to completing the Volunteer Application Form.

How to Request a Background Check

• A criminal background check is required for all volunteers 18 years of age or older prior to beginning with the Washtenaw-Lenawee Chapter of the American Red Cross. This is at no cost to you. If applicable, please register for your background check prior to orientation.
